Quite recently I had an experience while driving that I never thought would happen and hope will never recur. While driving back to Salt Lake after a wonderful visit with family, I suddenly found myself staring at headlights coming quickly toward me. I quickly slam on my brakes and get out of the way. As the car passes, there is no sign that they slowed down or even cared that we almost collided head on at 65 mph. After catching our breaths and calming our hearts, we decided we need to call the police. And of course my phone was about to die, fortunately Jess had her cell phone and we informed the police of the situation... They promptly informed us saying, (I'm paraphrasing) thank you, we have received a few calls and are aware of the problem. Now I wonder just how long this person was driving along I-15 in the wrong direction in the carpool lane no less.
Let this be a lesson to all, one never knows what you'll encounter at 12 am on I-15 northbound. Just make sure that if you do ever see headlights coming towards you, they are not a sign, you should not go towards them!! Instead, MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!! There is my friendly advice for the day.
Until next time, drive safe, and LAUGH!! :-D
Serves you right for being out of bed at such an ungodly hour! All the crazies come out at midnight, you know.
